Description of the project

In the framework of plans to privatise ports in Greece, ADK Athens advised the Port Authorities of Thessaloniki in the preparation of a masterplan for the port. ADK requested PCR to assist and to advise on the translation of cargo forecasts to terminal requirements as quay length, open and covered storage facilities, horizontal transport and train and truck loading facilities and equipment in particular for dry bulk commodities.

Restructuring of break bulk and ro-ro terminals and expansion of and restructuring of container and dry bulk terminals. Capacity calculations, operational system of new dry bulk terminal including interfaces with hinterland connections, lay-outs and cost estimates.
